- Methylphenidate, lisdexamfetamine and atomoxetine: The Mood One can be safely taken alongside these.
- Guanfacine: There is a theoretical risk that saffron can interact with guanfacine. This medicine can reduce blood pressure, and in theory, saffron may have an additive effect with the medicine. Although this is unlikely given the dose of saffron, you should discuss the combination with the prescriber first.
If your child is on prescribed medication, be sure to update the practitioner that they take supplements at their next review. It’s always good for them to have the full picture.
